There is nothing more frustrating than not knowing WHY. The great WHY will haunt you like a monster in your sleep. In hope I can find some answers to my question I have started this personal blog where I will keep track of my life and of my moods.

Today I was reading The Outsiders. My dad asked me what I was reading and I said ‘a book’. What book? I just shrugged, I don’t expect anybody understand my hobbies or my choice of movies, books etc. I am used to being the only one who listens to X and loves Y movie/book. It is the curse of diversity, maybe?! I don’t know, but I used to say that the problem with our wolrd is that we have too many choices and now I can add, so little answers. People being desperate to find the meaning of life, posting silly photos of whatever they ate or did in a day. This is horrible, get me out of it. Facebook is not a social network, it is a nightmare. I feel like I am invaded by all these people’s search for answers. It is an awful experience. And in most of these pics and statuses I just see lacks. The bookworm has no friends. The one who posts photos of his/her breakfast has nobody to share his/her breakfast with. How many of you post photos of you and your friends?!!! Since when has friendship becoem such a luxury? The truth is, it’s getting harder having a friend nowadays. People do not want to commit. They do not have time. They don’t have money. Gone are the days when you could just hang out at a buddy’s place. Everything MUST happen in a club, a fancy restaurant or a cafe. Everything is coffee-related nowadays. People are scared of being attached to other people, but they have no reserve whatsoever when it comes to coffee. Oh, I’m a zombie without my morning coffee! But what are you without your friends? Ah, friends. You can find them anywhere. You don’t even need money to buy them. So why waste money on friends? You can waste it on material goods.

And fashion, oh lord the fashion. Everybody looking the same. The fashion industry nowadays is the most boring ever. Black, white, beige. Neutral colours, they say, make you feel better. Especially black. Black is the ultimate IT colour because it can make you look thinner. It can make you WHAT YOU ARE NOT. You know, when I was younger we used to complain about school uniforms. Now guess what?? The uniform’s become fashionable. Everywhere I go I see the same patterns, same colours, same outfits. I can’t even find a non-mainstream “bohemian” style blog. Even the 70’s have become mainstream-ized. They call it “boho”, “boho chic”, whatever. It’s the same to me. Where are the people who dress with originality, according to their own personality? Perhaps they no longer have a personality.

I think we’ve all become brainwashed. Society telling us how to act and dress and what’s wrong and what’s not. Only now we are a democratic country, nobody is forcing you, appearantly, to think the way society does. But in the end, you’re still the same fucked-up person who has become what society expected you to become.

Tell me, where were you before the world told you who to be? (I saw this on a tumblr-like image, you know the written, artistic, poetic whatever photos that have some really deep-meaning words on it. As in ‘life is a journey’ and behind in the background, an open road. Yeah, life is a fucking journey you don’t need to be a genius to see that). Life is THE journey whose road the stupid society is constantly paving.

To be continued…

Hello world!
